Hard Work Pays Off

Are you ready for some football? Tyson is! Last Spring Tyson was approached to play sophmore football as a freshman. He began working out with the Brighton Team. While all of his friends have enjoyed their summer sleeping in, Tyson awakes every morning at 5:30am to run, lift, and practice. Just a few weeks ago he began helmet camp. Out of all the freshmen who tried out they only selected 6 and Tyson made it. This week he is in the middle of two-a-days. We have been amazed at his hard work and dedication. In addition, he comes home and lifts, runs and can now do 35 pull-ups. He does this nightly. I have attached a video of him doing a few pull-ups after he had already done his 35 for the night. This is for the benefit of his aunts who requested this when we were in Florida. Crazy back muscles! We are so proud of him! Brynlie is especially proud and excited for the season as you can see in the pics. His strength, hitting, agility and times have all improved and he has earned the respect of his teammates. Something he doesn't brag about, but sophs, juniors, seniors and coaches have told Jeff. As a side note, with all of the High School Football pre-season reviews in the Deseret News we found a comment today that made Tyson's day. It was an Alta fan who named Tyson as a freshman to watch. I included the quote for our family who have been so supportive.

I am a little worried about Brighton's program. I have noticed their young players cominig up have won many championships in little league. And we usually dominate them. i know some of the Sophs and Freshman are from those teams. I am worried in the next few years. they have a kid named Masina, and there is Menna, Lotolole, Reid, and Smedely who were great against us last year. We will see.....GO ALTA!!! THREEPEAT
