Eagle Scout Court of Honor
Well, he did it! Saturday we had the privilege of witnessing Tyson's Eagle Scout Court of Honor. He is so blessed to have so many great leaders, friends and family. We were so excited that Uncle Scott and the cousins from St. George could make it, and we know that the rest of the family in Florida, North Carolina and West Virginia were there in spirit! Thank you for all of the calls today. They meant the world. We surprised Tyson by having a live Eagle presentation. There is a story behind it but the abbreviated version is that we promised him when he was 3 years old that if he did receive his Eagle Scout award we would make it happen. It was made even more special by an incredible neighbor, Keith Taylor, who did the narration. He is a spiritual giant to Tyson. He has always been so supportive of Tyson and takes an interest in everything he does. Scoutmaster James McVey was the MC for the evening which was so appropriate because of the influence he has had in his life. He also surprised Tyson with a fun 10 minute slide show of Tyson's scouting career. He included all campouts, awards and finally his Eagle project. It was such a great night. Thank you to everyone for your love and support of our family and especially Tyson. Jeff and I are so grateful that we get to be his parents!
