NEWS FLASH

This just in, Tyson made the "A" team for football this year. In addition, he is no longer an "X" man. He will be playing linebacker, tight end and fullback. Here is the rest of the scoop:
As many of you know Tyson has been attending several football camps and clinics. In addition, he had the opportunity to train with Jamal Willis in the off season. All of his hard work and dedication has paid off. At the beginning of training camp for Brighton Football, Jeff could see that the "A" team coaches were taking a closer look at Tyson. Jeff has very strong feelings about people earning their spot on a team. Either way, Tyson would have loved whatever team he was on. So conditioning begins and there are about 80 to 90 kids in the Bantam division, which means that there will be 4 teams. Jeff watches practices, but he tries to stay away from the sidelines so that the coaches don’t know Tyson is our son. Tyson comes home from practices and relays comments that the coaches are making. In addition, we are noticing all of Tyson’s hard work and effort. In sprints alone, Tyson takes 2nd place out of the BIG kids. He was really taking this serious. Well, final cuts were last night. They had first narrowed it down to 30 kids. All of which were so talented. They had a hard 2 hour practice in 100 degree weather. Then they cut it to 20 kids. Tyson made the team! He was so excited and the best part was that he earned it! We are so proud of him. It is fun to watch your kids set a goal and work hard to accomplish that goal. He was on cloud nine. He is so excited to be able to run the ball. Jeff was concerned that there would be a learning curve from lineman to linebacker or fullback. Tyson has been amazing and it seems to come natural. The best part about these camps is that he was able to play all of those positions.
Thanks for your love and support! We just wanted to give you an update.
