Reids in Sandy

Well hello family!

It was fun to talk to a few of you yesterday. Happy Mother's Day! And Happy Mother's Day to those little ladies who take care of their babies and sweetheart. (Anna and Tyler that is the cutest thing! You should write a book of her cute sayings.)

The Reids are doing well and are trying to survive the end of the school year rush. The last few weeks have been crazy, but we are managing to survive. Here is a recap of the kids and their many comings and goings.

Brynlie just finished her play "The Garden Show," where she debuted as a tabloid reporter. She had a great experience. She also has her last soccer game this week and has enjoyed playing on the "Dark Angels." She has played very well and has had a lot of fun. Tonight is her dance recital where she will be dancing to Hannah Montana's "Rock Star." And a "Rock Star" she is! She has had so much fun taking dance from Nancy Lewis at the Treehouse Athletic Club. Nancy is going to move her up two levels so she will be in Jazz 4 this year. She is very excited. In fact, she let me know that if she had to just choose one thing to focus on it would be dance. She would even give up piano, like that would happen. She also has her Spring piano recital on Thursday. School is going very well and she has a 4.0. She is also very excited to have the opportunity to go with Grandma to North Carolina and West Virginia. She is working on her paper chain and wants to begin packing, although the trip is one month away. Bryn has also become quite the entrepreneur. She has been making flip flops with rubber bows instead of fabric. She has made about $30 so far. She has also been making cute flower magnets. Yes, she is a mini Boo! For teacher appreciation the class pitched in and gave her teacher a gift certificate for a pedicure. Brynlie made her a pair of brown flip flops with the bows and Mrs. McDonald proudly wore them to school on Friday. Brynlie was beaming.

Tyson is also doing very well but has a bit of Spring fever. He is very tired of school, but is constantly checking Power School to make sure that he still has a 4.0. Brian Kehl has challenged him to beat his record and have a 4.0 for all of Junior High and High School. Tyson commented that it is on. Tyson had his Court of Honor about two weeks ago and received 7 merit badges including the "Eagle Busters." He continues to be motivated and is deciding on his Eagle Project. He only has one required (Camping) and one elective left to earn. His goal is to finish his Eagle Project this summer. He has some fun opportunities planned this summer. On June 16th he leaves for the week for BYU football camp. He is going to be staying in the dorms. The best part is that they have devotionals at night. He is very excited. When he returns he leaves the next week for Scout Camp at Bear Lake. I am sure that he will be fine it is me that I worry about. Baseball is going well and he is playing hard. He had an awesome double last week and really enjoys his team this year.

Jeff and I are doing well and are just trying to keep up. Jeff is doing very well in school. It is a bit more intensive than we anticipated but he has more than rose to the occasion.
